Ok, folks in the Denver area, I’m looking for a little help. I came across a guy on Craigslist that is from Lakewood that buys and sells bows. I contacted him today and he would look in his inventory if he had a bow I was curious about. Does anybody know anything about this guy, or have you dealt with him? His name is Jim and he’s from Lakewood.

I would suggest that you give RMSG a call. They will know. Tom

I've delt with him a few years ago on a swap and was treated quite fair. I will tell you one thing I have never ever seen so many bows of all makes and models in one place, you should go just to check them out. If it were something other than bows I'd say he might have a hording issues. Good luck. Geoff

If it is the same Jim that used to sell on Ebay, you will pay a premium price for anything he has. I bought one bow from him probably 8 or so years ago. Good bow but it was very pricey.

Yeah, while talking with him, it seemed his prices were a touch higher than I was comfortable with. The only thing he’s trade me straight across for was a beat up old bow that wasn’t anywhere near he condition of mine. I am trying to trade a Necedah for a lighter poundage. Told me that everything else he had would cost me some cash on top of my bow. Lowest price he had was an additional 70$ for a scuffed up Pearson TD. I asked about him just buying mine outright and he told me he could only give me 70, and that would be after an inspection.

Bought a excellent Pearson Mercury hunter from him, He was very good with me.

Sounds like you’re overlooking the fact that he’s trying to turn a profit.

Sell your bow to someone who wants it and is willing to pay what you want for it..... and maybe don't pay his asking price, but his business is in making it easy for you to find what you’re looking for; if he’s got it, he’s done his part. And if he’s charging more than you’re willing to pay.... keep on pluggin’; you’ll find it eventually.....
