What old bow quiver fit a mounting bracket like this? Bear, maybe early Kwikee?

It's for a Bear. Lance

X2 Bear. Looks like the one I took off Bear Black Bear compound riser.

Can you still find the quivers? Is the hood comprised of the thin plastic holders like the old Kwikee? They're obviously quick- detach....but are they quiet and secure if left on? Can't tolerate rattling. thanks

Check eBay. They're pretty quiet if I remember right. Lance

Just looked, lol. Everybody apparently thinks they've got an antique and the one they're selling was Fred's personal heirloom! I'm not hung up on "stock"...an old Kwikee will fit those tapped holes fine I'll bet.

Yes, those were a pretty common quiver back then. I guess it was cheaper to buy them ready made than make the old style. I used Sagittarius quivers on My Jennings compounds. Long one piece quiver usually was quieter as well.

Bear didn't make them, they sold them. Someone else made them, maybe Grayling Plastics. Their current quiver is not made by Bear either. The one shown came out in the 70's, sometime after the Kwickee with the two screw attachment.

It's the bracket for the Bear Hug and Super 7.

They first were sold in the Bear 1979 catalog. Never seen them in any of the other 1970s catalogs.

Have at least one of those old quivers around here somewhere.

It was sold under several names as I recall.

Check local pawn shops. Mine often have a bucket of quivers they took off bows. Normally cheap too. (never have the mounting brackets)

X2 on checking pawn shops.

Besides pawn shops check flea markets, auction sites, yard sales, archery shops. A lot of archery shops that have been around a while will save stuff. Doesn't hurt to ask.

The one I had was made by Tru something or other, Had 2 TT's on the hood and a piece of crap. I was always going back down the trail looking for arrows that fell out.

Look for those bear 8 arrow compound quivers which are dirt cheap in pawn a shops..Remove the bottom arrow holder and attack it to the bottom of a snap on 8 arrow quiver. Off set it a little with the arrow holes on the quiver and then your old 8 arrow with hold arrows as tight as anything to can find..Took me 50 years to figure this out..
