Was the coin painted on the Grizzly or did the other owner do it?

Not sure where the top limb pic went but its a Grizzly. If anyone can zoom in on the serial # and shoot me a date for the Bear I thank you.

This bow is in great shape. When strike plate glue cures I will take it out for a rove.

The lefty is a Tri-State Archery Jaguar. It is 70" an marked 41#. This is my first time shooting left handed and got a little dunlap going on. I blame the cake. Was hitting to the right of where I was looking till I tried closing my right eye, that fixed everthing. After a few hrs of shooting I had pie plate accurcy at 20 yrds.

I got this bow so I could teach my lefty nephew. If anyone has an old lefty tab he could use it will help. He like spit finger over 3 under,I had him try both see what felt better. He loves the bow and wants to shoot more so I gonna try to gear him up for a crash course this 3-D season.

Nice of you to get the lefty to teach and encourage your nephew. I keep a couple around too for that just in case moment. 39 ain't old! The belt that I use with one of my quivers is at least 50! I'm pretty sure that the Grizzly is a 1962. The coin is pewter and will blacken with age. Lance

That's a 62 grizzly. Pewter oxidizes , most bear coins that are pewter look just like that. Happy birthday ! Nice bows!

Thanks for the info on the Bear. Gonna twist up a string for it soon as I can get my jig length correct.

The '62 pewter coins were painted with black enamel. The pewter still oxidized underneath, and on most of them a lot of the paint popped off. Nice Grizzly!

That Jaguar is a sleeper. Those are dandy bows.

I am learning that about the Jaguar. A 70" recurve = it almost aims for you. The fella who had it before me killed many a deer with it around the Lewisburg PA area. I am greatful to him and my dad for shipping it down here.
