Howdy friends - I have been so busy lately and apologize for not being around as much. I’ll try and catch up with some tidbits of info.
The most exciting news is that Dick Mauch will join Fred Bear, Glenn St Charles, Rev Stacy Groscup and other archery icons this coming September when he is inducted into the Archery Hall of Fame. It couldn’t happen to a nicer or more deserving man. Dick is far too humble to have wanted this honor, which makes it even sweeter. It’s great to see a good guy win and be honored for all he has done for our great sport! Check out the Hall’s website for more info.
I am coming to Longview, Texas to do my Instinctive archery exhibitions very soon. Also coming to Wisconsin and I’ll also be at the Iowa Deer Classic. Etc 2018 is going to be a busy year!
Hoyt, my family and I gave George Strait a new bow last March. He is a bowhunter and I know Fred Bear was up there smiling. He always encouraged me to get high profile people in to Archery. Mr Strait is set to receive the “Texan of the Year” Award soon for raising money for the storm victims and I plan to attend the ceremony. He’s another genuinely good man.
I have my new fleet of bows ready to roll for 2018. Pop was here in the Fall and we tuned and set up some new ones. I mail them 2 at a time to various shows, they often go show to show for two or three months at a time. They typically leave here in January and return in April. SKB cases protect my gear and I have long been a believer in their products.
Speaking of April, I have some dates in April and May for Church appearances. My show is typically a testimony and I’ve given Him credit for what I do for many years. It’s His talent through my hands.
I hope that all of you had a great Holiday and are off to a good New Year. I owe some of you emails, calls and I hope to get to this soon. Last Fall was tough but all is wel now. My family and I wish you all a happy New Year. God is good and I can’t wait to see some of you T shows this coming year. By the way, I’ve lost 27 pounds and feel better than I’ve felt in 15 years! This marks 33 years of shows!
Until next time, Adios and God Bless
