One thing this thread makes clear is that bodymanbowyer, outbackbob and selfbow all have a set of "WorkingManHands". You three not only find and/or make great artifacts but it appears you get some work done as well. Thanks for the images. Here's one of my own I found while fishing in a river in New England very close to where it dumps into the ocean. I think it is a broken spear point from a fisherman who preceded me many years ago.

You guys have done exceptional work, I have knapped the flint in my longrifle many times, but never have thought of trying to make arrow points, it may not be the same technique.

I would love to learn to make arrow heads for my hunting arrows, I guess I had better get started....Ha!Ha!

Trouble in Florida is we don't have any stone, everything will have to be imported.

I lived in the center of the Seneca reservation in NY which bordered on the Mohawk territory, arrow heads were everywhere.

Here in Florida everything has sunk in the swamps....Ha!Ha!

Stoner. If the cholla is a little bit to big of diameter you can file, grind and sand it down to fit your hand good. Up to a certain point of course. The last few I did to fit them to my hand nice. Then I used a light wood stain and then tru oil. I really liked the results.

Not sure if this one is from 2018 but it's a cholla handle I shaped, stained, put a button on and finished with tru oil
