Putting a twist on the Barbee shot from last year. Trace around a toilet paper roll on some cardboard, cut out the circle, tape the roll from the back side so it's facing out. 12 yards(give or take) 1 shot (must be cold shot, no warm ups)per day for a week. Measure the distance from the roll to the edge of your arrow. Record the distance each day and add the numbers to get the total. An arrow touching the tube is a 0". Here is the twist, you get to subtract 1/2" for any shots in the tube. Have fun. P.S If your using a sight you must say so. " I AM" My homemade ring site. John

Day two's shot was a "tuber". That 1/2" subtraction may come in handy if I have a flier later in the week:) John

John, if it just warms up a bit for my Arthur Itis fingers and jernts. This coming weekend is to be relatively normal temps..40's, so I'll likely get some shooting them.

Last shot for me today. Another "tuber", not dead center, but in the tube. I think the biggest thing I got out of this was that a bigger target didn't mean better shooting. I actually shot less distance from center on Rick's shoot from last year. Just didn't post on it cuz I used my ring site. John

If anyone is interested, here is a pic of the ring sight. Very simple but very effective in my opinion.Just focus on the target and your eye will center it in the ring. Works for me!! John
