I used to see these back in the late 80s in the hoyt catalogs however i dont remember if it was the reflex hunter or the ram reflex. I just remember this camo pattern and really like it, always wanted one. This one is about 48lbs, 64 in long and appears to use the pro medalist riser except there are some bolt extenders out the back of the riser which i dont remember if they were on the riser if it was a compound. This bow almost looks like an ILF fitting but is not.

If tighten the bolts dont then back out a 1/4 turn the limbs lift right out which makes it convienent for taking it apart with no tools.

That one was adapted for ILF. The Ram Reflex was a standard limb attachment for Hoyt, with the thumb screw. Great shooting bows by the way, and that adaptation gives it more variety for limb choice.

I had the black one. I think it came out the year before the camo model? Same riser as Hoyt Rambo compound. Great shooter, great for all around hunting, 3D, etc. Mine was a stout 70#. When that became to much I asked Hoyt if I could get new limbs. They never even responded to my letter. I didn’t know about ILF and this was before (1997) Warf’s so I sold it. The Rambo Warf I have now has TT carbon/wood limbs. I use an old springy rest on it.

George i dont think this bushing is an ILF fitting. Its round and not dovetailed.

This is a pic I got off the internet of a Ram Reflex. Same bushing but does not have the limb butts tapered since I believe it was fitted into the Rambo\Spectra riser which had a recessed hole at the end of the riser for that bushing to fit into. The reflex hunter though has a slotted riser to push those limbs in and out.

OLD THREAD but good reading..... Hoyt & Sky did these both in the Rambo version of Sky Hunter Supreme and TARGET SUPREME and also in the TD-2/3 style risers. I've had them all.....H20 & H24 versions of TD- 2/3....Rambo/Spectras all came in 21" versions. They used the TD-style risers in compounds & recurves both. Also the Rambo-Spectras was used in compounds & recurves both. Steve Long

Thats a ram reflex. I had the reflex hunter in 84 I believe. It had no limb bolts of any kind.

GLF what's the RAm ? DOES LIMB say RAM on it somewhere? I have pictures U& I don't see RAM unless it's a view I don't see. top belly side says HOYT EASTON USA & bottom belly side says REFLEX HUNTER. Is RAM on the back side?

I thought the RAM REFLEX HUNTER used the Rambo riser....making it about like one version of the Sky Hunter Supreme.

Its not a ram reflex. Those did use the rambo or ram hunter riser and was a 62 in bow. The sky hunter supreme is also the same as the ram reflex. The reflex hunter is a 64 bow using what appears to be pro medalist riser. They have the same alignment pin but the limbs do not interchange.

yeh the limbs on the Rambo hunter riser use a longer limb bolt slot.

It must just be a newer model then mine was. Mine just had a pocket and no limb bolts. I bought mine in my shop the first year.
