Good morning!

It was like summer here yesterday, but winter is back today. Shot at 20 yards standing. Just a tad lower than where I was looking, but after yesterdays shot, I'm not complaining, lol.

Thanks Chad and have a good one everybody.

15 yds quartering, snow blowing sideways. Low and a bit left but as good as it gets today. The bow proved itself 21 years ago but the Indian is a work in progress. Hope the pic comes out straight.

Shot 10 yrds aim small miss small. Aiming for the white spot. Cold and windy. Not bad but could've been better. Hopefully tomarrow will be better.

I took mine today with my Greenie Kodiak Hunter, 60"-51# and some 2016's. First arrow was come to half draw, hold a couple of heartbeats and then loose; second arrow was a follow up as fast as I could get it out of the quiver and nocked. I shot from 18 yards, left the obstruction up but narrower, and I can't tell you which arrow was first. I was so stunned that they were side by side I couldn't remember which one it was. Have a good day. Still drizzling here but is supposed to clear up! Lance.

Cold and windy today. Shot at 19 yds, elevated, quartering away. One quick shot then off to work.

Lotta great shooting today!

I fletched up a few more 1816s for the Bamboo Viper before lunch and trotted bout a fresh bag for some bare-shafting. Not a great start to the day, but FS from 18 was fairly respectable.... until I put it up against you guys!

First shot all the way to the left, an inch or two wide of the line and second shot (bare) just about as far out to the right; got pretty sloppy after that...

I did a walk-up from 27, 24, 21 yards.

Hoyt Buffalo with 55# limbs and .400 GT's.

Great shooting fellas.

Cool idea for a daily thread! I thought that I would try to join in.

My first shot was a total flyer, see orange circle upper right. Second and third shot were much improved.

20 yards with 17ft of elevation. Bow is a 62# (at 30" draw) Hickory 65" self-bow that I made a few years ago with some help from people here.

Good afternoon, nice shootin'.

I tried another obstructed shot this morning, at 20 yards standing. A little high and left, but at least I didn't hit the obstruction today, lol.

Thanks Chad and have a good Sunday everybody.

first time partakeing, first time shooting this bow, first time shooting recurve in 5 years....-10f in VT. vintage kodiak magnum, vintage bear cedar arrows.. 20yrds, aiming at center target. Net two shots broke a nock pulling it out of the snowbank and split an arrow on target..eh, could have been better...

From: throwback
Date: 14-Jan-18

Nice shootin' all. Vtbow, glad to see you here.

Brian is that the bow you described as "blah"? If it is, I'll take blah, all day long.

The boys elected to stay in and watch football, albiet another atrocity with the Saints already down 17-0. Safe to say that log obstruction on the right is as safe as William Tell's son. Have a great Martin Luther King Jr. Day all. I'm gonna shoot again tomorrow, same shot, until I get it right. Pun intended.

Vtbow, that's a good shot for shooting in -10°. I would've stayed inside where it's warm.

Always nice to see some new blood shootin' on the FS. Welcome. I just did a straight on 20 yard shot today with my 49# K-4 and a POC that I recently made. Wanted to dedicate this shot to Throwback but did so poorly that he might just have to hit the reject button. My first flyer in a couple of days. Oh well, it is what it is! Have a great evening everyone! Lance.

I'm sick again

So I couldn't come out to play. And a big welcome to our new shooters

From: SB

Grizz...same here. Havn't been sick with anything in decades....now it's been twice in the last month. I feel like crap! Watching the Vikings helped a bit.....I think. It was a nail biter at the end!

Didn't get my first shot only the last. My group all walked away winners shooting different styles and age groups. We all thought we were doing terrible until we saw the scoreboard and realized everyone else was doing worse. Lol

From: throwback
Date: 14-Jan-18

Cal, I'm just happy if nothing breaks when I do that. lol

Lance, thanks for shooting the K4 for me, I appreciate it. I've got a soft spot for those K4's.

Congrats to you all Rich, that's awesome. Where were you shooting?

Grizz, I hope you get over the crud soon.

From: Vtbow
Date: 14-Jan-18

Thanks bushytail. It was warmer earlier in the day, but had chores to do. Honestly, with the weather we have been getting it wasn't so bad with the sun out and it being dead calm. And afrer I was right back to stoking the fire!

From: throwback
Date: 14-Jan-18

I hope you get better quick too, SB.

Bob it was in Pacifica right on the coast of California. Kenny and I both live in Northern California he's another Waller who shoots first shoot when he has time like me. We rode down together for the shoot.

From: TrapperKayak
Date: 15-Jan-18

Bob, nothing broke this time, unlike the last one's glancing blow. This one whacked the 2x4 straight on with a solid thud and knocked it over. Gotta dig the BH out tomorrow. Then I'll shoot it again. And do the called 1st shot too. Maybe I'll screw on some field points for the rest of the week. Hope you all start feeling better soon, those of you feeling yucky.
