Great googly-moogly man, you done used up all the bandwidth with that life size picture. ))))))) May want to resize that. I don't even know how you got it on here.

From: Zmonster

Yeah, im using a server called imgbb. Trying to resize now.

Try downloading from your own puter. Pat doesn't like the image storage places since they harbor too many viruses.

Heres Old Rosie, the first Schafer that I had custom made for myself. Good bow, 52# @ 28, 60" amo. Rosewood with another set of 60# limbs thrown in. Both sets of limbs had antler tips and like all of my Schafers, checkered grip. That grip is the best in the business.

The "Huntin pants" bow in action. Probably the oldest deer that I have ever shot. Her teeth and hooves were wore down badly, probably wouldn't have survived that upcoming winter.

Thanks for deleting my GIANT photo Phil. Now back to commemorating Paul Schafer and the Windauer's in this thread. Too bad we lost so many great photos in the original thread. I hope many of those who contributed to the original thread will see this and dig out some pics of Paul from their hard drives. Thank you to those who have contributed thus far. In a few days it will be the 25th anniversary of Paul's passing, and I believe this will be a great way to remember him. Post them if you got them.

Own 8 originals and 7 of Dave’s. Gifted another 8 or so to brothers interested in crossing over to the poetic world of traditional. Oly, you should of highlighted the one piece original with the original takedown! Simply the best bows ever made - period.

Ha Mingo! My previous post was from January, several months before you gifted me the 1 piece

Folks, John (Mingo) converted me to shooting recurve about 5 years ago and I've never looked back or enjoyed shooting and hunting more since. My best friend of about 40 years has also gifted me a couple of original Schafer's (as he eluded to here)... here's a pic of "my" 64" original takedown & it's twin 60" 1 piece... both great shooters and I will be forever grateful!

Although, if you want to know the truth, I believe he gifted me the one piece as payback to me for dragging his buck out of the woods (pictured above)... #whatahog, #300poundfreak

From: ProAlpine
Date: 07-Oct-18

Mingo, share the love! Sell us some of those bows!

From: Mingo
Date: 07-Oct-18

ProAlpine

Honest to goodness I shoot every one of them (time permitting). It's a rule of mine if I own a bow it has to be hunted and take an animal with it. I've killed deer with every bow on the rack except a 62in longbow built by Dave. Good news is I have the rest of Oct and Nov to put her to work! Simply love the Schafers and love how they shoot even more!

Best,

Mingo

From: Easykeeper
Date: 07-Oct-18

Limbow, I really liked that bow you sold me. I liked it so much I thought I better get one made just for me. I sold it to help fund the pair I posted above. If I remember right it went to a guy out east somewhere.

From: Mingo

I just found a Tip with the same camo pattern as my Tall Tines. Both bows were built for the same guy. I have no reason why he built both a Tall Tines and a Silvertip then sold them so soon. I think that it is a hoot to have both of them. The camo really fits with the country that I hunt in. I forget the name of it. I call it cactus camo.

This morning I put a spare set of Tall Tines limbs on the short Schafer riser. I haven't shot it yet but it feels pretty good and looks pretty good considering the profile of the top limb butt is different. I can't see that side of the bow anyhow when I'm shooting.
