These are pretty plain, but they’re the first arrows I’ve ever really “made”; I figure gluing a couple of feathers onto an aluminum doesn’t quite count!
Made for my boys from Wapiti cedars... with a LOT of guidance and encouragement from folks here!

Okay, here are the flu-flus. I just had enough uncut feathers for 3 fletch each. I glued on old 50gr Bear converta points so I could do what Fred claimed and change out the tips for either stumping, target or shooting broadheads. Have a good day and thanks for looking. Lance

I just finished another set for my yew self-bow, I was just playing around with colors making sure I didn't put too much on the shaft.
The black is a leather dye. The white is Northern arrow water based urethane. The cresting colors are testors enamels. The clear coats are Northern water based urethane. Nocks are Bohning. and the tips are 125 gr. primitive from three rivers.
I took these outside in the sun and the colors are fantastic, but somehow the photo washed out, I will have to work on photo taking.

I'll add my latest to the mix. I rubbed in 2 coats of orange acrylic paint, spray painted the crowns and used paint pens for the details. Then sprayed 2 coats of clear. Still not of good as others but it sure is fun! Lance

I used to freehand paint the cresting on all my arrows without a cresting machine, spin them with one hand and apply paint with the other.
Bones, you have to start somewhere and you did a great job.

The only arrows I have made all year. Plainjane aluminum's for my wife. Not up to my usual standards as far as custom cedars,but I have dozens of boxes of those already that I'll never use due to health issues. Some nice work fellas!
