Love seeing what guys come with for their arrows. I made these From Surewood Shafts’ Douglas fir. Membrane spliced.

Those look great. I used to make up really fancy arrows when I made woods. Now I go pretty simple.

Snag...I've labored over a few sets of arrows spliced like that.....never again!

These are pretty plain, but they’re the first arrows I’ve ever really “made”; I figure gluing a couple of feathers onto an aluminum doesn’t quite count!

Okay, here are the flu-flus. I just had enough uncut feathers for 3 fletch each. I glued on old 50gr Bear converta points so I could do what Fred claimed and change out the tips for either stumping, target or shooting broadheads. Have a good day and thanks for looking. Lance

Always check this thread. You guys have really got skills. Amazed at the spliced feathers. I've tried it and was a total failure. I've noticed most of you like the shield cut. Keep 'em coming.

I love looking at all of these pics of gorgeous arrows. I haven't made the plunge yet to try and make my own but I am seriously considering it. I enjoy the craftsmanship of it and you can make them personalized for you.

I made these for my husband. I colored six patterns on graph paper and made a green/tan and tan/green for each one.

A dozen "Bluejays." Wapiti Archery tapered cedar shafts. Fletched with dyed natural turkey feathers.

Just received these from Gary hall for my nephew who recently started shoot longbow.

Gary Hall made these for my son's Eagle Scout ceremony.

I just finished another set for my yew self-bow, I was just playing around with colors making sure I didn't put too much on the shaft.

The black is a leather dye. The white is Northern arrow water based urethane. The cresting colors are testors enamels. The clear coats are Northern water based urethane. Nocks are Bohning. and the tips are 125 gr. primitive from three rivers.

I took these outside in the sun and the colors are fantastic, but somehow the photo washed out, I will have to work on photo taking.

I tried one more time and if this isn't better I will have to take a course on photography.

Nice Jeff, and thanks to the bodyman, mountainman, and sawtooth I now have joined the ranks of wood arrow making. Not near as nice as some posted here, but these are my first few. Simple for now, but they fly well.

I'll add my latest to the mix. I rubbed in 2 coats of orange acrylic paint, spray painted the crowns and used paint pens for the details. Then sprayed 2 coats of clear. Still not of good as others but it sure is fun! Lance

I used to freehand paint the cresting on all my arrows without a cresting machine, spin them with one hand and apply paint with the other.

Finally finished them Douglas fir shafts I traded Mountain Man for about six months ago.

Beautiful looking arrows everyone. Haven't made woodies in years and I'm waiting on some sitka spruce shafts to arrive. Gonna try some aniline dye instead of stain.

Haven't made any woodies this year(yet) but I stuck some feathers on these aluminums. They show up in flight very well. Tuned to the KH behind them.

My hunting arrows this season. Surewood Shafts, 4 Sagittarius fletchings dyed with food coloring, and 125gr Woodsman 3 blade heads. Shoot like a dream!

The only arrows I have made all year. Plainjane aluminum's for my wife. Not up to my usual standards as far as custom cedars,but I have dozens of boxes of those already that I'll never use due to health issues. Some nice work fellas!
