I remember seeing someone who made some light blue feathers. I think it was with a berry flavored look aid. Also had matching cap wrap or dip. I was thinking that would be a great color for hunting visibility. Any of you know the kook aid flavor and where to buy wraps? I checked one stringer, but didn’t see that color available...

For dying feathers I have used Rit liquid dye in Aquamarine to good effect on white (domestic) feathers.

Excellent transfer and colorfast; surprisingly visible color in snow.

I love the lighter blue, don't know why they can't make them or I haven't seen any.

I used four packets in a stainless pan. Be sure to put a cup of white vinegar in. For natural bar feathers I would use a more concentrated amount and let them sit for 10 mins.

Gateway offers a sky blue that's an exact match.

Blue is a great color for the woods. Unless of course you are shooting in the middle of a flock of blue jays.

I used Rit dye from the grocery store to do blue. You can vary the intensity by how much dye you put in the bath.
