I've been away for a week on my annual deer hunting/camping trip. I had a great time, but never shot at an animal. Gotta go back to work now.... so until next year...

Today's shot will be 13 yards from a sitting or kneeling position with the bow canted more than usual.

God Bless,

CD

I was in my shop mounting a deer listening to a podcast by Mike Mitten on hunting Alaska solo. Took a break and checked fs. I thought I better getter rolling. Thanks for the call CD. I hope you had a good time on your hunt. Jim

I walked out this morning and the grass was frozen and the roof had a sheet of ice on it, but rain sleet snow and hail will not obstruct an FS'er from completing the daily task of punching a hole in the intended target.

Shot as described and got a frozen knee.

Didn't do well.

Better luck next year Chad, but getting away from work and being in the woods was worth it I'm sure.

I forgot to mention that I wasn't about to sit down on the wet ice and with my failing memory I shot at 17 yards kneeling with a canted bow.

Jim K, that Super K is my favorite style of commercial bow made, easily the finest looking thing made. Any color, doesn't matter, and I really like yours for color too.

Hey First Shooters! I wish I was shooting today, but work called and I had to travel for a couple of days. I will be watching though and wishing I had a bow with me.

Have a great night and somebody shoot one for me!

Kindly

Nice shootin' folks. Chad, I'm glad you had a good time. It's hard to beat a week in the woods, regardless.

Shot as called from my bucket. I was holding on the dark spot to the right of the arrow, missed left.

Thanks Chad and have a good one everybody.

Thanks for the call CD. Like Ron said; just getting out is good. I shot today with my 57 Kodiak and a POC arrow. The bow was almost horizontal! I hope that you all have a nice day. Lance.

First shot right over the target second a little better. Trying out a new anchor to maybe help with my plucking problem. Thanks for the call.

I tell ya, you guys are good, none of you should have a problem tagging a deer within range.

Just for grins, I went out after supper to test a different arrow - The Leg-Breaker.

There’s no reason to expect it to fly well out of the RER - not other than the fletch job, anyway. But you never know.... Took aim at the garden stake; FS from 13 not so bad!
