I like it! This summer Craig Ekin made me a Tembo with a purpleheart riser and black glass.

The mosaics are really nice. I can see me totally ripping that idea off! :^)

Where did you come up with the purple glass???

From: 30pt buck
Date: 08-Dec-17

The glass was handmade by a bowyer friend of mine, I have some Seafoam blue that will become a couple more bows.

I am not sure but this could be the only now that I have seen with the mosiac pins and purple glass.

Very nice. The pins are often used with knives. Never thought of them for bows. Good job-beautiful bow. >>>----> Ken

2 bears, I have a Victor Smith Knife, That is where I got the idea, The next one will be a laminated riser with the pins. The thing is you can use the whole pin and go all the way through or cut 1/4 pieces and inlay those to look like the go all the way through. Just make sure they line up and are matched for position.

Heh Heh, I get it!

I have found a source for a broad range of colored veneers that could look real nice under clear glass but I've not tried it yet. Maybe in the spring.

Longcruise, You know sometimes you gotta step outside the box, I have been sitting on the Seafoam glass because I know what I am going to do with it, But my oldest daughter and wife love purple. So I got this at the same time. I first thought OMG, this is so ugly, But then I started to play with riser blocks, and decided the purple heart would look really cool in a few weeks after the riser darkens a bit, It should match the glass almost perfect, The more I worked on this bow I was really surprised how the Purpleheart riser actually toned down the glass, and now, I could not be more pleased with the result, I can see doing more of these. I say take your veneers and run with it Bro.

I think I will. Got some other builds that come first.

I have a daughter who loves purple as well. Dresses in it and drives a purple Jeep.
