Is that spray foam safe to use in the basement.wanting to get that turkey decoy filled with foam and let it cure in the basement till spring.just concerned about fumes around the water heater and furnace.

I think you will be OK. Maybe don't spray it directly next to your gas fired appliances, but even then I'm sure you would be fine.

Not sure about the fumes but be careful filling the decoy. That stuff expands and if it can't leak out in places it may ruin the decoy.

Dan, Read the can. I believe that most if not all of the box store spray foams are a polyurethane base (NOT GOOD TO BREATHE)The off gassing may take some time and will rise throughout your house. Please be careful.

Dan this is a copy of just one section of the MSDS sheet for "Good Stuff" gap filling foam. Please be careful.

Yes - don't inhale it directly from the can. Also, don't eat it, don't drink it, don't spray it in your eyes, don't spray it in your ears, don't bathe in it, etc., etc.

I will say to be careful not to get it on your skin and clothes. Not because it will necessarily harm you, but because it is a pain in the a$$ to get it off of your hands and impossible to get it off of your clothes.

Well, that fixes that.that's all I need is the fumes with my copd.I'll just wait for a warm spell and do it outside.thanks for the feedback.

From: GF

Pick a nice, warm spot and go just a little bit at a time ‘til you get a feel for how much it expands and how quickly....

Me bein’ me, I’d rush it and blow it up like The Blob...

Glad you decided to do outdoors. Thoze fumes are not good.

The contents are only harmful in California! :)

From: Styknstrng

True about Cali, heard it will also make babies be born naked....shoot straight

From: jk

I made a bowling ball turkey-sized target with that stuff and it took a couple of weeks to (seemingly) harden all the way through...shot it after two weeks and arrows had goop on them. Bad idea.

From: Therifleman
Date: 07-Dec-17

I spray half full, let sit 1 day, fill up the rest and give 2 more days and ready to shoot. I do this in the summer outside. If cool it probably would take longer.

"RESPONSE: IF ON SKIN: WASH WITH PLENTY OF SOAP AND WATER."

Good luck with that. It's usually urethane based and needs mineral spirits for clean up.
