Darn fine accomplishment! Congrats. I'd be happy with it with any weapon. It is almost identical to the one I hit last year and it lived. I have never even gotten a buck bigger than a spike with a recurve.

I am shooting a 13" vpa riser with win win rc carbon longs. I am somewhere around 45@28". I am using a ten ring string. My arrows are 400 spine beman mfx with 170gr. Wensel woodsman heads. I had my bow set with a fixed crawl with just under a twenty yard point on. I got a complete pass through and the arrow was stuck in the ground.

It may not be your biggest but it’s a nice one! I too hunt with a bow during gun season, but have never been successful. Maybe someday it’ll happen.
