I was just given this by a friend who inherited this with several bows and a sack full of arrows. I got all of the wheels cleaned up and rolling freely. Can anyone give me some info on how to use it. I don’t shoot many aluminum shafts, mostly wood, so this one may be up for trade soon. BTW, also secured these 45-50 cedars from Kustom King that were ordered in 1992. 100 of them. I just so happen to have 45# jd berry that will love them.

Just roll the arrow until the deflection on the indicator raises and try to stop at top dead center of the deflection then push the lever down so it bends the arrow down. repeat the process until you have nearly no deflection. If you do decide to sell let me know. I have a buddy looking for one.

Handy tool. I have an AAE same idea. Meant for aluminum. I use it to find the highs in wood as makes a great spinner. Rooty

Many great arrowsmiths used them to assist in making great wood arrows. Use like Bucknut said.

I have an old aluminum arrow straightener that I use to spin arrows on to make sure the nocks and points are running true, no wobble.

Just like Bucknut said. You can see the amount of bend and you have to push it quite a bit farther. It is rather slow at first but you will soon develop a feel for it.>>>----> Ken

Not sure why I called them 45-50 shafts. They are 55-60, which means they will shoot through my 61# jd berry Vixen instead of the Viper.

There are multiple brands of arrow straighteners like that. They work very well.
A friend that used to straighten cranks shafts for one of the big three gave me a tip. Start with the support wheels as far out as possible. That way you can just use a full stroke down instead of trying to match the amount of bend required.
If that isn't enough then SLOWLY move the supports inboard until you get the amount pressure required. This gives a more even straightening, prevents kinks, and over bending in the opposite direction.
