I first met Scott Robertson when he stopped by our store in the early 80's. We have been friends ever since and have killed many a rotten stump since back then.

Scott just acquired one of the all time, top of the line bows and I wanted to post a photo of him and his prize.....a Hoyt Pro Medalist Super Hunter, 62", 50# of awesomeness. ))) And it kills stumps quite nicely.

His arrow is the upper one that centered a hole that we were both shooting for from about twenty-five yards.

This time I got the hole in the stump and his arrow is right above it. Just a little rove in the woods behind my house.

George....shouldn't you be deer hunting out there?....instead of scaring them all away whacking stumps? :)

Hey Steve, season is over for now. Monday starts our rifle season for two weeks. Only thing you can hunt till then is small game. Bear season ended today but I don't hunt them, so alas it's stumps and squirrels.

Knifeguy, we'll save some for you Lance...lots of them around here.

Then it only makes sense to run them off before the gun hunters get there! Great plan! :)

Im shocked he put down one of those Palominos to shoot that "other" bow:)

Everyone should shoot a one piece Pro Medalist at least one time in their life.

Those 62" PMH's are hard to find, and expensive if you do find one! I have a 66" 5PM...great bow.

That is a true friend to let you win one round. 8^) I see he didn't cut you much slack though. Happy Thanksgiving >>>----> Ken

We had a good rove. We both made good shots with our own bows but George made the best shot of the day with my bow and heavy fiberglass arrow on a old stump across a small ravine. His release perfect, the arrows flight was what we all as archers strive for, absolutely perfect. He even managed to miss a grapevine that hung in front of the stump. The arrow impacted dead center....perfect. It sounded like Joe Louis hit a cradboard box!

Well, it looks like another fine bow has found a home somewhere in the quiets of the Laurel Highlands, and a fitting home it is!

Scott: are those the "mini weight stabilizers" I see coming from each of the stabilizer holes?

The one Pro Medalist I have has the larger chromium stabilizers... the type that look like those gizmos attached to doors so they don't bounce off the walls.

I have a bag of the smaller weight types, just never got around to experimenting with them.

Anyways: you have a fine new shooting tool, and I'm sure it will provide you and George many a reason to get those unruly stumps in order!

murph, it's a 1968 Cravotta Brothers Black Hawk...Scorpion model. It's actually what was called a semi-recurve, 60". Now they would be referred to as a hybrid. It shoots very well.

Monkeyball, Craig...this is a little six acre wood lot between my house and the lower field. Deer come in now and then but not frequently. We are surrounded by better habitat for them to hang in and chase does. This woods is only about 120 yards through from top to bottom. But....it has stumps.
