Hi John,

Teams consist of 2 Archers and you make up your own team during registration. The team has to represent an archery club or archery business.

Here’s a list of the teams that participated last year.

Participating Teams: CD Archery #2 Moose Eyed Bows CD Archery BG Lonesome Elk Archery D&R Enterprises Northern Mist Longbows Bear Archery Parker Archery Voo Doo Kustom Bows Elmer Fudd Bass and Bucks Team Clydebow Missouri Midwest Mafia Traditional Archery of New Jersey Rip-N-Stick

I made a point to make it to this even last year. It was a blast (though my personal worst shooting). All the guys/gals was great to meet and share time together. I stayed in Muncie, and had a short drive to the range and back, plenty of places to rest and camp on ground. They also have a nice pound. You will not be disappointed, I will be attending again.

“What is the difference between American semi longbow and longbow? ”

Hi John,

An American Semi Longbow limbs are straight, stringfollow, or reflexed. In the Longbow class an archer could use a R/D longbow.

Your Wes Wallace longbow is a wonderful longbow with R/D limbs.

I have a follow-up question concerning those who don't keep score. Our family has always shot together. It is a family activity for us. The children actually grew up attending 3d shoots. We went through a keeping score phase for a few years and all of us picked up a trophy or two here and there. Last couple of years we went back to just enjoying the various courses around the nation as a family. So, my question is whether our group has to be busted to shoot.

From: elkherder
Date: 09-Apr-18

Are the I.B.O. (Not sure about trad targets) rules as far as max distance shots on targets being followed or should I bring a rocket launcher and a spotting scope?...Anybody on the west coast heading that way? I think i will be driving to this.I need to start going to more shoots other than the local stuff.See how you boys stack up against my eagle eye.I aint skeered.I take on all comers.

From: BigStriper

Do the winners of there class still get belt buckles.

Hi Kirk,

Sunday morning is a shotgun start. All shooters pickup their scorecard at 8am and starts shooting at 8:30am. We always assign the Cubs and Youth with their parents. So you won’t be broken up.

Hi Larry,

The Trad Bowhunter World Championship follows T.A.S. rules. The rule for distance depends on the size of the animal. Smaller animals are closer and larger animals are further away however, an elk could be set at 10 yards. It’s a bowhunting event.

From: BigStriper
Date: 09-Apr-18

Elk at 10 yards, thats my kind of shooting.

The max distances at the I.B.O. Trad shoots, depending on the class, are 25 and 30 yards, so you hardly need a rocket launcher.

Don't worry, Darren makes the T.A.S shoot a great event.
