Why so many Satori bows being sold. My self, I wonder if hoyt made a mistake by discontinuing the buffalo.I shoot one and love it, in fact, just sold my widow and won't look back. Just my opinion.

It is a fairly new model bow. Whenever a new model shows up, a lot of guys buy it, many like trying new things. They try it for awhile then move onto something else. Some are always looking for the perfect bow, one that will make them a better shot, which is an impossible dream. When their shooting does not improve, they try another bow. Some just like buying and selling, it is a fun hobby too.

Just my opinion, but it seems like the new penny situation. Ever watched all the compound bow companies. They change just a little each season and all their "followers" flock to get the latest model. Apparently their newest best bow last season has become incapable of effectively killing deer. I like new pennies as much as the next guy, but I wont trade out what works for something else to give me fits. I do not shoot target archery, but I assume the same can be said in that realm as well. When someone changes a little it has to mean better!! ? :D

Well, the saw that there really wasn't much of a future in proprietary limb design when ILF is as saturated as it is now in archery. We discussed that here after the Buffalo was introduced...the proprietary thing. Just a smart move that's all.

I'm guessing it's the same reason there are more F 150 Fords for sale on the used market than Toyota Tundra's.

Ive been a big widow fan for many years. Now i have 2 satoris and 2 hoyt epiks. Love the way they shoot. Still have one widow and still like them alot but the hoyts are my go to bows. They are all tr e at bows,, just depends on where your tadtes are in any given time frame in your archery carreer.

I had one for a short while and while it was an awesome shooter it just wasn't for me. I got it for an intro/trial into ILF. Realized that wasn't my thing at this moment. Who knows tho if I ever decide to play around with them again I'll start with a satori riser for sure

Dry Bones, your post reminds me of a buddy who shot compound and bought a new one every year to be competitive. Then I saw him shooting a stickbow the same brand I was shooting. When I commented about it he said, "I quit the arms race"!

As I recall it was no different with the Buffalo. Metal risers are just not everyone's cup of tea. This just came up the other day so I will add it. I got to shoot Buffalo Serial No. A001, the very first production Buffalo. The Canadian distributor rep was in Salt Lake City the day it showed up, he asked if he could take it with him, and he did. He had it with him at a local archery shop in Red Deer, Alberta. I really do not remember much about shooting it as the draw weight was a bit more than I could handle at that time and that was my focus. Although the limbs were marked 65@28 they were actually 72 when weighed.

Black widow will dominate the traditional archery market place. This is an unbelievable power move. Market share is king for Black Widow they are changing lanes into the fast lane.

"Why so many Satori bows being sold?"

Because no one really admires or comes to love a metal riser and eventually they realize one-piece bows are quieter, better looking and lighter. ;-)

Nah, I just bought a used Buffalo and refinished it, it looks awesome now. It shoots incredible and is super quiet. My new favorite bow by far!
