Long story short, my dad's dog chewed up his leather knife sheath...so I would like to get him a new sheath as he is adamant he isn't getting a new knife. If I measure it and take a pic is there anyone here on the wall who could make me one? I would gladly pay for it!! Or point me in the right direction anyway...

Member here White Falcon custom made me a sheath for a fixed blade knife for my daughter, complete with her initials tooled on it. He did a beautiful job and made it just as I wanted. Perfect fit too.

A saddle shop can make one pretty easily.

Why not have a kydex sheath made. Dozier knives make them as well as others for a reasonable price.

Steve Catts in West Virginia. Look him up on net as Hidehandler. Nice person and will do anything you need with super quality veg--tanned leather. He's the best of the best.

I don't want to tell you what to do, but have you considered making one for him yourself? Would likely mean a lot too him. I know it would to me if my son made a sheath or anything for me. Just a suggestion. All are good ideas above. There is some talented people out there.

What kind of knife is it? If its a relatively common model and your dad is right handed, you might find an original manufacturer's sheath on ebay. If it's a custom, the maker should be able to make you another one (likely without having to send him the knife).

Other than that, I recommend "Nay" Custom Leather out of Utah. I believe he has a website and certainly has a Facebook page. Mr. Nay also sells sheaths for Buck folders, Case trappers and such on Ebay. You might have to send him the knife if it's unique, but he is a great guy and does top quality work. - John

Kifeguy here on the forum has made four incredibly nice leather knife sheaths for me. The quality is top notch and he’s a solid dude.

Look at the Tandy Leather website. They have pre-cut kits for knife sheaths. They might have one to fit your dad's knife. If they do it would be simple to assemble the kit since they include everything you need. Lets you make the kit for him plus you don't have to be a leather Guru to do it.

I'm in a leather hobbyist and would do this for you but right now with Christmas coming I'm loaded with projects.
