Happy Monday, First Shooters! Today's shot will be quick and easy...since it is a Monday!

Yep, just what the doctor ordered! I decided to make this one “quick” as called… Kept it under a second or a second and a half from beginning of the draw cycle ‘til the arrow was in the target.

took a quick shot. using maddog machete. I'm shooting this one pretty good.

... took a shot, then walked toward the target. I hear little movement, and look over to the side... and there's 2 does staring at me! 8yds away!!

didn't have bh in my quiver, so I started talking to them. they just listened for about 30 sec, and then decided to leave kinda nonchalantly.

... they are the same pair that I've been missing(literally) this entire time.

....must've come to see how badly I'm shooting. :)

thank you big john for making the call. Hope everyone have a good day today! -ted

....i'll get them next time....

Hey guys...here is my first shot today. 16 yards from an elevated position.

This ended my 14 year drought of not killing a deer with a longbow. Killed some with curves and wheels since then, but this is the first in a while with a longbow.

Shooting a Crow Creek that is 62" and 47#.

Good one Dao, if those does would only pose in front of your 3D target for tomorrow's first shot... of course tomorrow's FS will probably be the "long bomb" or some other insanely difficult shot :)

Congrats Bobby!

ya Jeff, who knows, they might pity me and set themselves up for a shot ::lol:: -ted

Nice doe Bobby. And Ted, their just setting you up man! They have no intention to be there when you're in the woods! No shot for me today, it's pouring outside so I'm working on arrows. I hope you all have a good day and for those of you still working, a short work week! Lance

Nice doe bboaldin! I stepped out this morning before work to do a first shot. We had around 28 this morning but the sun already hit me right in the eye, lol. Anyways, shot as called on the deer target which is now on a portable stand. Makes it more feasible to move for some of those special shots. Thanks for the call Nuclear longbow!
