I just got mine from Teresa. It just happened to be a day a cold front pushed in and the temperature dropped to 35. I put it on over my uniform and walked to work. I was perfectly warm. The next day I had off. Again it was just above freezing. I put on my wool bibs a long sleeve sweatshirt and the jacket and took one of my camping chairs outside and sat on my front step. I was so comfortable it turned into a nap. I just pulled the front of the hood down over my eyes. I slept about 35 minutes, my neighbor asked me if I was alright. This is Timber Ghost which is currently Extea Heavy weight. Teresa told me she might be able to get blanket weight Timber Ghost soon. I am getting a vest next I think.

I've looked into getting some of this. I just wish they made something without a hood.

smj8322, Call Teresa at Asbell's, she will make it without the hood. She did for me a few years back.

I have a couple, the first one I bought I actually planned to remove the hood. But I found I really like the hood. Blocks the wind and I believe it helps break up the human outline and hide head movement. It's evident that some thought and experimentation went into the design of the hood. I can also have my safety harness on and have the tether strap come out the side of the hood. Either way, they are nice garments.

Riverwolf,,,, love that photo,,,,, how do I get one, looks nice

I was out this morning in my zippered Asbell jacket. I think it got down below 30 degree F this morning and I was comfy. Mine Is evening stand green and I love it. I had my hood on this am. Even though it fits loose it holds heat in and blocks the wind. Mine came with a surprise when my wife purchased the jacket last year for me for Christmas. It came with a signed copy of instinctive hunting book. I'm planning to get a vest next! Great stuff!

I have the same pattern as Riverwolf, but with the half zip pullover in heavyweight. It’s the most comfortable bowhunting jacket I have ever worn, plus it’s warm and completely quiet. Plenty of room for layering under it on really cold days too.

How do they run? I am 6’ 190#, would a large give me room for some layering?

I’m 6-1 and 190. I have larges and they fit great with layers underneath.

I think she will make them with more room or length if you request it.

Love the Asbell wool. I have 3 vests and 3 shirts, my go to gear for warmth. I need something in Timber Ghost, good treestand pattern with the light colors in it.

I have sevral pieces by Teresa. One is a zippered vest without a hood. I use this more than any other. If you contact Shiela, Shawn, she will definitely make one for you.Better hurry though, Christmas is just around the corner.

I wish that the bibs came in one of the patterns. Evening stand brown would be bad ass.

The pattern's are great but my favorite color wool is gray. Where I hunt the tree trunks are mostly gray so when your in a stand of trees you blend right in.
