Try buck and boar plantation. I believe they are still around and maybe an hour out of Columbia.

Several years ago I went to the Black River Plantation. I killed one big boar and hit another that got in the swamp and I didn't recover it. It was strickly a stand hunt over feeders. I thought I got my monies worth. You may want to check it out.

I go to Wild Things every year. Located in Estill SC along the Savannah River.

Wonderfull hunting! Stands, spot and stalk, swamps, pines, hardwoods. Free range no fences! Traditional archery only!!!!

Unfortunately, the owner Andrew Harper, passed away recently. This upcoming season will be run by a friend, not sure after that. There are still openings on the schedule.

I highly recommend Wild Things. Check their site.

Or...... save a little money and come a little farther south. We have a bunch of pigs on public land down here. The WMAs are open until feb 28th for small game. Just a thought.

Hey Sawtooth, how far south? I would like to try and do a hunt in Feb. What are some towns near the WMAs? Thanks!
