Yes, the clear enamel. Dries super fast so you can build finish in a hurry if you want to. I refinished a bow including sanding and hole repairs in three afternoons. It doesn't have the luster of Tru Oil but still looks pretty good.

Thank you, you are right I don't think anything beats Tru-Oil
I don't want a gloss finish.

You can knock down the gloss of Tru-Oil with another Casey product called Stock Sheen, which is designed to be used with Tru-Oil.
It is mainly pumice and water and can be used after the Tru-Oil has cured for at least a week (Birchwood Casey has an excellent FAQ on their site concerning rubdown timings and techniques).
Hard to describe the result, but to my eyes it seems a very warm, subdued shine minus the glaring gloss of the untouched Tru-Oil. Not matte by any means, but rather an elegant, furniture-like glow.
For the mix should it appeal to your aesthetic.

I started using VHT Wheel clear as well and like it a lot. So far very durable and dries fast.

Yes, I have used it and still do from time to time. Works great, dries fast and lets a protective finish.

I was asking because it sprays on beautifully and like you said George, dries fast and I like the Krylon paints better than some of the major brand names.
Thank You Gentlemen, RonG

VHT wheel paint, clear in matt or gloss, it's the best I've tried yet.

I've heard nothing but great about wheel sealer. When my Helmsman clear satin spray is gone Ill be trying it. My buddy says he can spray 3 coats and be stitching a grip in an hour.
