My good bowyer friend Todd Schrinski, I hope I spelled it right :-) Sent me his latest ILF rig to try out. My first shot after bracing it up for my first time 7 1/2" from 15 yards. Keep in mind,I am still recovering from rotator cuff surgery. 43# 64" and 1535 GT Traditional blems.JF

Dead on, WOW that's awesome. Let's try some more shots. JF

Not bad, WOW I'm impressed. This Bow hits very hard. No stacking. Gains like a pound per inch past 26" 43# at 28" unheard of :-) JF

Wow this bow is quick, how quick. Well at 28" with a 380 grain arrow, that's 9gpp 190 fps. Smooth ! JF

Looks like a hefty riser Jeff. What does it weigh? Take it easy on the shoulder, bro!

REALLY nice bow Jeff! So this is the one he finished back in.. July?/June?

color almost looks like tulipwood on that riser. probably not the case, but that's a beaut!.

I personally like the way he does the grip( for my 48 anyway) it looks big and beefy but it FEELS just right for my small hand. surprising, really. -ted

The complete rig is a little bit over 3# Alittle bit heavy for me right now but not unheard of for a recurve. JF

Now with a 296grain arrow,7gpp is shooting 203fps. This bow will probably hit a little higher for but my form was failing, due to me getting tired and poor release and collapsing. I wouldn't doubt that it could due 210 fps with everything good at 28" JF

My almost 11year old grandson shot it. He said WOW Papa this bow is fast. Of course he shot right over the target. LOL. JF

This is OB,s first time trying out his Pierce Points in a ILF recurve riser. You nailed it Great Todd. You can only get better on the next one. Not that I see anything wrong on this one. I know the more you make the better each one can get. Speaking from experience here :-) I'm very impressed with this Bow OB :-) :-) JF

Very beautiful.

Very nice. If he accepts some suggestions I'd prefer a little slimmer, rounded effect towards the limb pockets. It's a little bulky but could be slimmed down some.

From: bodymanbowyer
Date: 18-Oct-17

I'm pretty sure he can work with suggestions :-) JF

From: Oldbowyer
Date: 18-Oct-17

That's spelled Scherrinsky. Be sure and get that right on the "return" address!!! LOL Thanks for all the kind words JF thought you'd like that bow. Just be sure and study how those points are done when you tackle your project.. They do take a lot of work and patience.

redogge I'm always open for suggestions. I've been working on these ILF risers for a couple years now. But yeah I agree the ends can be slimmed down some and I have a new pattern just not built the riser yet. Each riser has been an advance from the last though. My old ones had straight inserts. This one has adjustables. My goal is to build risers. But for the Peirce Point I wanted a total package.

Many Thanks and y'all take care, OB

OB LOL :-) I'm gonna copy it and put a patent on it LOL Great Bow my friend :-) I love to fling some arrows from it,I just wish my shoulder was up to it more. I'm getting there :-) JF

From: Oldbowyer

See its getting passed around some, great. Anyone tried some different limbs on the riser yet JF. It is an "ILF" LOL

From: ron w

Nice looking bow.......

From: bodymanbowyer
Date: 22-Oct-17

No haven't found anyone with ILF limbs :-\ it'll be heading home soon :-( JF

From: Oldbowyer
Date: 26-Oct-17

Sorry for the slow reply JF, but sure wish you could get some other limbs on that bow.

Just setting here musing about the results you got out of that bow. Still a lot of my Dad's influence in that limb. I know it can't run with Borders or Uukaha's. But I bet from a dime store bowyers ideas it'll kick the crap out Frisky's Holy Snail LMAO!

From: bodymanbowyer
Date: 26-Oct-17

Oldbowyer that's a definite yes to beating the woods out of the Holy Snail. I don't see any problems there. This bow is smooth, fast and hits were I look. It can darn near shoot itself. JF

From: Oldbowyer
Date: 26-Oct-17

Well I've taken some abuse from Frisky and I'm not the only one. But shoot even stuck up for him though when this one fellow was wanting him thrown off of here.

It'd would just be nice to see Frisky put that Holy Snail up to some testing other than riding on the legend of its bowyer. Its unfortunate that the only thing he knows how to shoot seems to be his mouth.

From: Frisky
Date: 27-Oct-17

I just got on here for a minute today, as I have to package a bunch of venison sausage. Backstraps and burger are already in the freezer! Today was grinding day. That old Holy Grail sure did a number on the big doe! Blew right through her and ended up in Iowa! I may never find that arrow! No bow out there can compare!

Joe

From: Oldbowyer
Date: 28-Oct-17

Yeah Joe seen where you got a nice doe, give credit where credit is do. Congrads on your deer.

I'll have JF look for that arrow and send it back your way. Hope it don't over shoot and end up in Canada!

From: Oldbowyer
Date: 29-Oct-17

JF hope you done well hunting today. Seems like this thread has ran its course LOL But thought I'd put one more thought to it

I knew what you would find when pulled that bow on a scale. A pound to the inch from 26-28 is unheard of. My Dads bows did not do that and they are very smooth. But what I was not realizing till a couple days ago is that limb can handle some more preload. When you send me the bow back will play with some different pad angles on those limbs. See what I come up with. The next Peirce Point might be a standard type of take down not an ILF.

Anyway when you find Joe's arrow just hang on to it. See if we can't get it to the Artic Circle! LM"old"AO

LOL I found his Arrow and guess what, no blood on it. Lol. JF
