You don't need to say, 'not the biggest buck." That is a fine deer and you made a great hunt to get it. To most folks that is a dang nice trophy....me included.

Congrats, great buck. Tell us a little about the bow. I always enjoy Jeff's build-a- longs.

Thank y'all ! I had a group of bucks come in this afternoon like I have never had happen , there were 10 bucks total . some bigger and several smaller. I just took the one that gave me a clean shot.

Bow is 66 inch and 53lb at my 29 inch draw. This is one of Jeff’s build along bows. It’s sweet ! Sorry I don’t have a bow pic with deer. After dragging it out of the bottom it ran down I did good to take those pics. He definitely made me work for him ! Lol

Good deal! I like that idea too, shoot the one that gives you the best shot! Congratulations.

Very Nice, like George said, "That's a fine deer." Jeff makes a good shooting stick. Especially that Superior Wood bow. :-D

That's awesome Joey, I knew that bow is still a Buck Slayer. There's some special Mojo in that Bow. I don't know if you know this, my sir name Freeman was also used by the Cherokee :-) You'll have to put your Buck mark on the bow too. Did you get a pass through? Big congratulations, very nice Deer :-) JF

Congrats! Those bows are awesome. I need to get off my a## and hunt mine! Nice buck don't get wrapped up in the size thing. Enjoy the gift.

Hey Berber i live in East Tn and that would be a good buck for me!

From: Jeff Durnell Professional Bowhunters Society - Associate Member

Congratulations!

This morning I was sneaking around on the game lands here in Pa and saw one rub a tree about 50 yards in front of me. His antlers were smaller than those on the buck you shot, and I would have shot him in a second, if I could have gotten close enough. His grandpappy was with him too. Big barrel chested mature buck, but I would have gladly killed whichever one gave me a shot, just like you did. A deer's a deer. Good job.

Jeff, yes I got a complete pass through with arrow stuck in ground on the other side of him. He didn’t go 20 feet and he just fell over. Easton Axis Traditional arrow and 2 blade Magnus Stinger.

The BOW, the ARROW, CLEAN SHOT and short trailing! Can't beat that with a stick. OUTSTANDING! Maybe the possibility of a game cart so that You didn't have to break out in a sweat??

From: Barber
Date: 17-Oct-17

I had a 2 wheel cart to put the deer on to drag him out. It helps a lot . But I had a really long drag up hill . I was in there pretty deep. I’m not one to stay on the edge of the woods. I’m usually in there deep. It’s all in the fun !

From: bodymanbowyer
Date: 17-Oct-17

That's good to know Joey, on the pass through. That means you had a great placement shot and the Bow did it's part. Plenty of umff from the bow :-) I like the name Cody give it, Superior bow, since it came from the bottom of Lake Superior that's Salvage Virgin Timber. Why didn't I think of that Cody. JF

Nice buck Joey, congrats!! That's a sweet looking bow too and It's obviously a shooter. Good job!

Jeff, after the truck incident I think the revenge name is more fitting. I was just having some fun with the type of wood.
