I aim consciously and do not even think about the release, it just happens.

There should not ever be any thought of release unless you are needing to refine it and that should never be done aiming. It should be done up close and not aiming, only working on your release.

If you have aimed, the only other thing that you may think is back tension and pulling.

From: GLF

Make sure the release comes when youre consciously ready tho. Letting your subconscious decide for you is a good way for some to get tp.

From: Rick Barbee

I think about it all from start to conclusion of the shot.

It's just the way I have taught myself to do it.

I have a little mantra/voice, that speaks to me quietly in my mind as I shoot.

It says:

"

Focus (on my intended spot),

Draw,

Anchor,

Focus Again (on my intended spot) & Aim,

Release,

Follow Through.

"

Works for me.

Really, guess I've been winning tournaments and killing deer wrong all these years.

Rick Barbee x 2.

Sams way will work, and so will Ricks style. So will others if the consistency is worked into it with quality practice. Archery is a sport of many dynamics. One size doesn't fit all.

From: JusPassin Compton's Traditional Bowhunters

My point George. What I heard was that if you don't control your release, your release controls you, and that is target panic.

From: Draven
Date: 16-Oct-17

Control where the release happens in your shooting sequence and the rest is not that important. Sometimes you are doing it more conscious and sometimes not, depending what are you shooting at.

From: Rick Barbee
Date: 16-Oct-17

My release is the most critical part of my entire shot sequence.

If I get it right, everything else just seems to fall into place.

If I don't get it right, everything falls apart.

I said for some. Some people will never get to no matter what. Others do what your doing will get it quick. No one know why some never get it and some are controlled by it. Most guys I've seen get it are top archers so that has nothing to do with it.

From: Tzioxphon

the release is the easiest part and GF, you are the guy in a quandary over the arra chucker thread that went over an arrow spine deal tp conclude that this guy made an awesome shot with a single bevel,,lol

jusspassin,,,the wall is mostly made up of great guys that are not a smart ayse.>>>>>>---------?

From: Tzioxphon

I learned my technique of shooting a Bow mostly from Rod Jenkins.

I'm not GF

From: GLF

All those it's were supposed to be tp's. Spell check strikes again. And, there's only been 2 smart a##ed posts and neither were me. I stayed a fact for guys who would read later, that's all. 2 definitions of to, freezing or subconscious release before you're ready. No one said you had it. I said "some" and that too is true.

From: Tzioxphon

YOU BET, go make some pics like the CHUKER,,GOOD HUNTING!

From: Tzioxphon

It is not the first time a mistake in identity has caused major problems. All have thoughts worthy of consideration. I do have to question you throwing out the idea, Rick is a good friend though??? I will reserve that thought until I hear it from Rick. No worries just keep shooting. It is all good. >>>-----> Ken

From: Rick Barbee
Date: 16-Oct-17

Yep. I was just sharing what I do. Definitely NOT saying anyone is wrong for not doing it the way I do.

From: Tzioxphon

funny KEN,,YOU SEEM TO THINK YOU are special? lol you hold a grudge too I see,,hummmmmmmmmmmmmm,,oh well. Yes Rick and I are friends, up to him to aknowledge it because we both have lot of experience.

but no need,,lot of opinions get flung here on the internet and no problem because I actually learn sometimes from a lot of them. There are a lot of people who bang the keyboard and in person are different but Rick and I, George are all the same face to face. I learned from Rod Jenkins and He learned from Cardinele. I am not saying I am right or Rod is wrong but it works for me ad I am thankful to him and others in the field.

I am not into any rebuke or BS here, I AM INTO ENJOYING IT AND BOWHUNTING AND SHOOTING AND SHARING. Prove who you are by what you give back to archery and pass on here and everywhere else and I am ready to cut you a black bear riser free you pay shipping.

I am ready to pass it on everyday and thank those here who do it all the time and give more than they take. thank you

LMAO.......I sent your quiver over to a 9 year old kid along with a fiberglass bow and some arrows in it. He thought it was cool.He is my grandson and his father abandoned him and his sister. In this picture we are having fun, his grampy..

You would do well to learn at your age that you should let it ride, let it be, be thankful.

I did over 1500 hundred risers and gave then away and felt good about it. I can tell this; the more you give, the more you will receive.

Peace, out.

From: Tzioxphon
Date: 17-Oct-17

Mistake, I did not give that many away, closer to a hundred and I AM NOT DONE yet,,,I know what I am doing at this point and you would do well to send me one for you to be cut.

From: 2 bears
Date: 17-Oct-17

O.K. two more post? Then why did you lie to ever one here? First you offered it on a thread to give it away. Around 20 signed up for a free quiver. Then you pulled it and told ever one you cut it to shreds and sent the big scary picture of you with a big knife. Very mature. Yeah I am going to send you my Bear riser right away.Go check your mail. :^)
