I was fortunate to have a turn with the pass around bow Mr Bob Sarrels built and named Sacajawea. I had it a week before getting around to opening the box. A dozen shots later I was amazed how well this bow shot so the next morning I took it on my first deer hunt of the season. Only squirrels were seen on that hunt. The evening hunt was over another red oak that was dropping acorns. This pretty 6pt came in a little after 5pm and stopped broad side at 20 yards. Next thing I remember was seeing my pink fletchings going through him right where I was looking! I was sure I had heard him go down but gave it about 35 minutes then took up the blood trail. He was down within 60 yards. Very grateful for the opportunity I was given.

Congrats. I now own the Hope bow that Bob built in 2014. I'm having Bob reduce the weight a little to better work with my sore string hand. I'm looking forward to getting it back as it is a great shooting bow.

I haven't followed that bow much but will have to catch up on eleven pages of posts. It must have been in a couple dozen hands by now.

Hey Corey, nice deer! Haven't been on anything over here yet. Move over to a scrape line that has some acorns falling . . . will be on that with the cool weather Monday - Wed. Hope they start moving . . .
