Today's shot will be a quartering away target set at 23 yards. Shoot straight and be blessed.

Good job Ted. The line is harder than judging the yardage IMO.

I’ve been shooting the #55 RER pretty faithfully for the last month or so, so switched things up a little and have been having some consistency issues with the #55 Hunter the last few days... so I strung up the #50 Bamboo Viper instead. I didn’t rearrange my target for quarter-on, because I figure a spot is a spot, right?

Just about 20 yards, and I had left yesterday’s obstructions in place, so added adventure, I guess....

Hey, I think she digs me!

And just for giggles… I usually keep a bamboo garden stake or an old arrow stuck in the ground in front of the target just to see how precise I can get it. This week’s victim is a tapered cedar.

I’m not going to pretend that all of my shots today were as good as the first one, but none were any better than this.

Hmmmm... Why do I have a sudden craving for Chinese take-out?

Well I spent all day just waiting to get out of work so I could go hunting but with a couple of hours left my wife called and said I better get home that my lab was having her puppies 4 days early. So no hunting for me but now that the birthing has stopped I managed to at least get my shot in for the day. As called #1 is the left arrow the line as good just a little low. follow up wasn’t any better.

Thanks for the call Big John and good luck to those who are hunting this weekend

I shot elevated in a ladder stand at 23 yards in the last few minutes of light. A little far forward but I love tracking and I believe it would have worked. Season opens in the morning and I am excited like never before. Come on 4:00 am! Live Large my friends and Thank God for the Opportunity!
