About a year and a half ago I gave up the wheel bow. Since then I have been exclusively shooting longbows. I've learned a yon from guys on here, archery rendezvous and bowyers willing to share their knowledge. Tonight it all went as planned and I got my first deer with a stickbow. I just wanted to day thank you to everyone that had given me advice throughout the journey.

Mitch, isn't Michigan great?! Lots of deer, lots of land to hunt, and then to get it done with a stickbow! Congratulations.

Nice congrats some times it just takes more time to get the 1rst. One needs to bare down and learn as they go. Nice shot and good animal. Sharks do the job but you placed the shot.

Yup, that's my dad. He was thrilled. He can't shoot as much as he used to from an injury. He's enjoyed watching the journey of all the prep and practice as well. It was a good night with family and friends.

Mitch, Congrats fellow Michigander! You're title scared me. I thought maybe you went into town looking for something to eat and the town Sherrif kicked you to the curb.

specs are 48 pounds at 30.5 inches shooting a 600 grain arrow. I love the grip on the bow. it is small, but provides for consistent hand placement. The craftsmanship is beautiful. I've shot the bow with and without a bow quiver. it is very stable either way. Super smooth as well
