A 50 spine carbon maybe left a couple inches long or a 1916 likewise left long.
Depends on what you want to shoot for point and insert weight?

Finding the correct size shaft is a little more difficult than that. The depth the shelf on your bow is cut will dictate your spine need as well as the string material type and how long you want the arrow to be to back of point, which is usually 1" longer than draw length, this would be for a aluminum. Carbon shafts are a whole different world. Shelf depth is usually classified as less than center, Center, and past center. The deeper the shelf the stiffer the shaft will need to be.

As mentioned above many factors come into play, including individual form, but we all have to start someplace and at 45#s i thinl youd do well trying a 600 spine carbon. Play around w point weight and cutting in small increments as per your bareshaft tuning indicates.

600s are very versatile. leave them full lenth until you are sure you need to cut. know 2 guys with your specs that shoot them. strangely enough I shoot them also and have less draw lenth and pounds. ..ron

Centershot? String type? Rest type? Depending on those things the spine can vary substantially.

Example, only.....
I shoot 30" bop GT Trad 3555s (500s) with three 5" parabolics and factory inserts out of a 45x @ 28 Bear Super Kodiak with a 14 strand B55 dacron string using 125gr points. The tune is phenominal. I shoot off of a Bear factory brush rest. I draw to 27.
After watching Ken Beck's tuning video, putting his method into practice, and getting a saw to cut carbons I realize I have been shooting underspined carbons from certain bows. I previously used 600s in the Super K.
Do not shy away from 500s if you have a similar bow to the Super Kodiak. Mine is a 1972 model.
In aluminums consider 2016s. Have various point weights on hand for both type arrows.

I think you are right in between two shaft options. I shoot 27in and 500s out of 53lb at 27in and 2016's with 200 up front. Another bow I have is 41 lb at 27in and shoot 600's full length and 125 up front. May take some experimentation to see with one the bow likes.

I may be redundant, but...try a 2114 also.

2114 sounds mighty stout to me.... and I don’t mean George!
A 28” 2016 works for me out of a #55@28” Howatt Hunter (Dacron) drawn about 27” AMO-spec, which is about 25.5” to the deepest point in the grip. A 600 Carbon is working for me out of a #50@28” Howatt Bamboo Viper.... FF string on that.
Not sure if the Viper wants a 1916 or maybe drop down to 1816; would suggest you try 1916s bare-shafted and cut them down ‘til they fly right. 125 grains should do, but you can always experiment with heavier...
