Today's shot will be the ‘Vertical Obstruction’ shot at 20 yards. Add obstructions in-front of and behind the kill zone to leave only about a 6" shooting window to slip the arrow through. You can use paper or something soft for the obstructions if you fear damaging an arrow. This simulates having to shoot between some obstructions when some of your quarry is obscured.

God Bless,

CD

Great shooting Ronnie, I did the shot but decide to shoot four arrows, the first one is marked.

Bow Bushman

Arrows gold tip, yes I know they are carbon, but I set up the gap at six inches as stated and that is a very narrow opening at twenty yards so I shoot the arrows I don't care about messing up. couldn't find my other board so had to use a piece of pipe.

Everyone have a great day and shoot straight.....Ron

thanks for the call Chad

my favorite bow is receiving well deserved R&R at the birthing place... so I've taken out AA x-48. nice bow.

everyone is shooting great!

Thought I could keep up with everyone today after my FS hit just where I wanted, but my second shot went waaay low. recovered on 3rd shot though.

thank you CD for making the call.

Have a good day all, -ted

Thanks for the call. I was running late this AM so grabbed the closest bow and one arrow. Worked out if penetration was not a concern!

Lance that is metal conduit, I wouldn't use it shooting my wood arrows.

I was actually aiming more toward the wood board, but the arrows kept going left, good thing I wasn't aiming at the cup..Ha!Ha!

A heck of a good shot there Lance, my obstacles were at six inches, yours looks to be closer to four inches, now who is brave.

Great shooting everyone - I hope you are all having a wonderful day!

First shot for me was low... just under the target. Second shot was good to go.

20 yards with vertical obstructions with a broadside target. I talked to myself (not out loud) through this shot and it paid dividends.

Thanks for the call CD!

Shot from 20yds. My target was still quartering away from the other day. Using my 45lb kmag, some great shooting today guys!

hi guys, I just missed 18yd shot broadside on a mature doe. shot over lost an arrow.

oh well. you know, if I sat at my usual spot instead of changing my mind at the last minute, I would have been down wind, 3yds away from TWO mature does... on the ground. go figure...

-ted got little bit more experienced today.

Its all good Ted,,,thats why its called hunting not easy

They squat pretty good before they bounce hunh ; )

From: Dao
Date: 04-Oct-17

wish I could say she squatted scott, :(.

I plain missed is all. they didn't even move. they just sat there and sniffed the air for a while.

long story short, the one of the pair went around making big circle while other stuck around, and got down wind of me and bellowed. and that was that.

still cool experience, so on to the next one! -ted

Good evening FS guys and gals. Ted,I heard that a Deer can drop 15" in 2/5 of a second. Wow! I took my shot as called with my Halloween bow and a Bamboo shaft with a stone point. Very close. Tuff shot using a Stone Point, all things considered. Have a great night everybody. Oh I couldn't convince Papadoc to leave the Mule to hunt with :-\ JF
