Tired of cleanup, grabbed a Douglas fir arrow shaft from Shurwood and tuned it yesterday and shot the required shot today, it does pretty good, maybe a little nock high.
Bow American Native 40lbs
Arrow Shurwood shafts Douglas fir spine 45-50 shortened to 26.5" with a 125 grain point.......Just got my spine checker so I can make up a closer group of arrows.
I'm a little rusty I would get one reading of weak spine then four of perfect flight from 12 yards to 25 yards, not consistent releases, so I will stop until I can get back shooting regularly.
Fantastic shooting 9/10, good luck on your hunt, the way you are shooting I may have to wish the deer good luck....Ha!Ha!

foooeee, cold this morning. got out there a little TOO early, headed toward my favorite ground site, and got stared at by 3 sets of eyes! pre-dawn. can't shoot. I knew they would be there, but problem, they knew I was there too. after 20 min or so of staring.. they kinda disappeared before it became light enough to see. after that, I sat in a different place and enjoyed watching squirrels.
anyway, shot taken as called using maddog pp 37#@28". bit low, but I'll take it. new ground chair I'm using this season. very very comfortable!
with 150gr upfront, it is shooting surprisingly well, even though shaft is 1000 spine. may be HFOC thing is happening....or not.

Thanks for the call CD. I took my shot today with an EDB, (evil dwarf bow), just for Crookedstix, to show him how a short bow performs in the hands of a short bow maestro! Ha! A Colt Huntsman with green glass, 52"-57# and a 2114 that I slapped together yesterday afternoon. Have a good one. Lance.

Happy Monday! It just rained or finished rather... it looks like all nice out there, but I got swarmed by mosquitoes! Shot was high, but I was glad to make it out alive!
Have a great evening everyone.

Nice shooting today. When your on your on and when your not, well let’s just say I’m glad I didn’t go hunting after work. Even my follow ups were bad. From 20yds sitting on a 3 legged stool. Low & left
Thanks for the call CD. Prayers out to those in Vegas
