I was up bear hunting and got an email from a doctor that said she'd be at a conference in my area. Would I coach her 13 year old daughter three days a week for a month?

I don't like responding to emails from a phone and said I'd be back next week. When I got home there was another email from another doctor. Same sort of thing for an 11 year old.

Through 10 or so emails I negotiate some money for the archery club. I tell them I will not coach a 11 and 13 year old with out a guardian. Well, they both have a nanny that will be with the girls

They agree to everything and want to pay me 500 and 480 for the month. I told them I was there to promote archer, not make money off their daughters. Any 'extra' money should go to the club.

Then I got the following response!!!

Hi, Sorry for the slight late response. Got the information, Everything sound good to me and am okay with everything. I will love to tell you that i have forwarded your details for issuing the payment to you as soon as possible and meanwhile, I got the e-mail from them that they will be sending the payment in one check in which the nanny fee will be included on the check. So once you receive the check you are going to deduct your own money for the lesson for the whole Month and also deduct extra $100 for your running around and you will help me send the rest money to the nanny via money transfer cos the Nanny will be using the money to Drive and relocate my daughter so that they can pay for the house rent and some other things before the lesson start with you.. Hope i can trust you with the nanny fund and you will handle this for me and i will be happy if my daughter achieve her aim in future? Thanks for your honest and trustworthiness .. I will keep you posted with the tracking # immediately i got it from my secretary and more details with the nanny information Thanks and God Bless You, Dallene is very excited to meet you Have a Wonderful Day! Dr. Brewer

I'm pretty sure I don't want this guy operating on me.

They're getting more creative, I'll give them that. But not creative enough. Tell him to send you $10 cash to cover your gas and you'll get the check right out! Let the scam be on him. Get all the info and turn it in to proper authorities.

See if you can actually find the Dr's office on line and call them. Tell them you want to speak to the doctor and tell the office staff why. If it is a real physician I don't think they will be happy their name is being used in this way and I am willing to be bet they would be happy to purse it. DANNY

I've had the same with music instruction, martial arts instruction, music recording, wedding photography.....

Once you have seen one, they are easy to recognize quickly

How these guys con anyone behooves me. You'd have to have a major brain injury to fall for these scams.

I had the same scam sent to me two years ago. My "student" was a high school girl that wanted coaching at her house. I knew the area and it was a fictitious address. Called them out on it. Never heard anything else. Oh yeah,my payment was to be cash at each lesson,2 1/2 per.

If these losers would just invest the same effort in something legal and honest they would be way ahead.

"Hope i can trust you with the nanny fund...."

Yeah, I'll bet.

"My 'student' was a high school girl that wanted coaching at her house."

Act now and you can share a cell with Anthony Weiner.

And if you pasted the note from the "doc" directly into your post....????

Good Lord.... If a borderline illiterate "doctor" isn't a Big Red Flag, what is???

Tell them to contact coach Frisky at the leatherwall. He is allot cheaper.

I bet they are from India. I get a call of every week from India about some new BS. I never open emails that I did not ask for or know who sent it. So don't email me if I do not know who you are.

Tell them to give the check to the nanny, and she can bring you the cash.

I got some PM questions on this and came up with an interesting idea. SCAM THE SCAMMER!!!

I send the check to him and also put an immediate hold/stop at the bank. He cashes it and it will cost him at least 50 bucks from the bank.

Anyone in banking know if that would work. Might cost me something on my side. Might be a way to stop scammers. He asks for a money transfer, but I'd bet he'd cash the check.

That's the darndest thing I ever heard Bowmania. I wouldn't have thought in a zillion years somebody would try that in an archery coaching setting.

My wife got the same type of offer for math tutoring-total scam.

All you have to do is tell them you only deal in cash and they will go away.
