Setting up a Pearson Spoiler that I picked up at a garage sale yesterday. First question is what is a good starting point for brace height second question what are you using for a rest since it has a really narrow shelf on it. Thanks

Elevated rest for that one. I am a sucker for home made toothbrush elevated rest.

For brace height is a trial, my Hunter likes 7.5”

Just find the brace, it can vary by an inch or more from shooter to shooter. Look where the strings contacts the limbs when strung...that's a simple key. You want to use the recurve ends but you don't want slapping. Elevated rests are cheap, and I would likely use a Hoyt stick on for $2.50....they are good enough for Olympians. I also make my own style. You just want minimal contact.

I agree with the elevated rest, with the radiused area joining the shelf and strike plate, you will never get consistent arrow flight shooting off the shelf, without removing the radius.
