I've not posted things like this before, but wanted to show you what I made for a friend that built a bow for me and refused compensation for it. The shaft is Maple, double footed with Madagascar ebony & Black/White ebony. The nock is of the same material's. Shaft is breast tapered. Feathers are leftwing that have been spliced red/white, the blue field was air brushed with silk dye over star stencils. The shooting stars on the shaft also air brushed over stencils. The broadhead is a cast Roper's Indian from the 1950's

Looks really cool. Can you explain the broadhead? Don't know if I have seen one with so much detail.

Bones: The broadhead was manufactured by Lowell Roper in Oakland, CA. in the early 1950's in two sizes lg & Sm. That is the large one and quite common. They are cast from aluminum and were quite effective in the hunting field, which kind of dispels the myth that a broadhead needs to shave hair to be lethal. They went from 155grs to 196grs. depending on what size shaft they fit, as the same head had different size holes 5/16" 11/32" or 3/8"

Excellent gift Bob. Attention to detail, to the nth degree! Amazing. That is a neat broadhead to tie it all together too.

Bob, I usually keep a low profile on here but had to chime in and say how beautiful and unique thowe arrows are The double footing and self nocked foot is impressive but the most striking IMO is the "bleed cresting". Recipient will be THRILLED! Thanks for sharing Blessings Tom
