While elk hunting in Idaho, I managed to sneak up to within 15 yards of this bear, made a great shot. At the shot, the bear ran right at me and stopped at a measured 12 feet and looked back. After a couple seconds, it luckily ran off to my left about 25 yards and tipped over. Very exciting !

Used my new Javaman Elkheart 46# @ 28" .

Scored on my first deer this year. Went out this afternoon about 2:00 and got in my stand overlooking a reall good trail coming out of some thick stuff with several good scrapes on the flat. About4:00 a deer was coming down the trail and the wind had switched and he winded me. It was a buck but didn't get a good look at him. I did some grunting and some doe bleats but nothing. Settled back in and a little later did some more grunting. About 15 minutes later I heard one walking from in front of me and here came a buck right towards me. As he turned to the right I got ready and drew as soon as he cleared some limbs. I released and hit him in ribs quartering forward. He ran hard out of sight and I heard him crash. Shot him with my Black Widow 47#@28" with a wood arrow and 160 grain 3 blade VPA broadhead. He is an 8 point.
