Some of you may have seen my thread about limb tip protection for my Uukha limbs. Sipsey River told me to try liquid electrical tape. Well... I did, and it works perfectly. I don't know yet about durability, but it doesn't matter because it will be so easy to just touch it up if needed.

I saw how this stuff worked and it got me to thinking. I wondered how it would do on those contact places; the limb butt under the limb bolt and the rocker.

So... I tried it. Don't get me wrong, my bows were hunting quiet--I thought. But this little bit of material on those contact areas made the bow a LOT more quiet and may have taken out some vibration too. I could tell a noticeable difference.

Just thought I'd pass this little tidbit along. You may want to try it too.

Hey, Jack. Good to hear from you, but you've got to tell me. What's a coger? If I'm one, I want to, at least know what it is. :^)

(informal) a man, esp an old or eccentric one: a term of affection or mild derision (often in the phrase old codger)

So, you think he meant, CODGER? Okay...I'm good with that. Heck, they called me an old codger and an old fuddy-duddy when I was in high school. lol lol I guess things haven't changed much.

Thanks Jim, I'm gonna use that on my Uukha's.

I used to use shoe goo for limb tip protectors. Worked great. I did get laughed at though.

Great idea where can you get it

Will definitely have to try that. I have also had good results putting a neoprene washer between the limb and the underside of the limb bolt washer. Home Depot has them. Fit perfect.

One thing about this stuff is that it won't take a lot of abuse, but it can be peeled off easily and a new coating applied.

OK maybe it is codger , but anyhow you are one :) How you been Jim ?

Been great, Jack. Shooting a lot getting ready for a pronghorn hunt in WY. You want to go? They've got some license left over. :^)

Hey, I've got some nose trouble--sending a PM.

Well... I've been using this stuff for several weeks now and I can honestly say, I highly recommend it for ILF limbs. I'll definitely be keeping a bottle of it around from now on.

Gona have to try it! Thanks

It does wear down rather fast, but it peels off easily and can be replaced in seconds. I use it on the tiny Uukha tips too.

How does it compare to plastidip?

It's the same as Plastidip just marketed under a different name.
