a friend told me that one of my older make self yew longbows..60 " (so it's more of a Chet Stevenson type self bow)..is offered on e bay. Definitely one I made tho some years back. Horn overlays, Marked 58#@27", 60", and my initials, JF in cursive..Marked on belly..'WAPITI' . It is in a pawn shop in Belgrade Mt.and the fellow who's offering it said The man who brought it in pawned it..but never picked it up.. Over many years, I have made a and gifted quite a few bows and staves..but for the life of my old memory I can't recall to whom this one originally went.IF any of you recall..OR Lord forbid, had such a bow stolen-lost..let me or the seller know..As far as i'm doing..have the home up for sale..building a new single level home in Washington State.Wife's getting a new hip end of month..my recent brain scans show no new activity on the brain tumor GBM..The world's a mess..(as usual) but our Lord is EVER faithful and answers prayers..All the best, Jim& Mary Ellen Fetrow in Oregon..

Can't help with the ID on the bow owner, but hope all continues to go well with you.

And that is one sweet bow you built!

Thanks ALL for your prayers and remembrances for us.Plan is to sell our home of 25 yrs here in Oregon and move to a hillside, single level place in Kalama, Wa..

Been packing up a ton of things..mostly non essential items of a personal nature, to clear the old 50 year old home for best showing..My archery bows and arrows are still on the den wall..:)

I pulled down my deer and elk wall mounts and gave the only elk rack I ever saved to a friend who is a member of the local BPOE. funny as this is..I was in the garage..which is packed w/boxes..to get the rack and tripped and fell full length onto it..gouged my stomach, chest, tore the he** out of my arms, just missed an eye...Took me a month to heal up. I had worked all day painting and was overtired.. I reckon after near 40 years, that 6x7 Rocky Mtn bull My 1st in Arizona w/a longbow)finally got his revenge on the hunter killer..:) Made me laugh as I recalled the old humorous tale from years back ..'elk rasslin tips..'..for those who have never read it, here it is..jim http://www.predatormastersforums.com/forums/ubbthreads.php? ubb=showflat&Number=221187..

This thread was from August. Jim and Mary Ellen are still up and about and doing pretty well, appreciating life to the fullest. Jim is a fighter for sure. Mary Ellen posts on Facebook quite a bit.

Well well. I miss your advise on here. Here's some advise I have my son many years ago when he was in trouble. If your not afraid to die Don't be afraid to live. Rooty
