Purchased this neat Shakespeare Super Necheda at Denton from Bob Eberle, a vendor in the big tent. Here are a few photos. Dont have a string yet but will before October gets here. I had one of these delightfull mid length bows years ago but ended up regretfully selling it. Now i have one back to take its place in my bow battery. Can anyone tell me about it from the specs, I would aporeciate it.

Bob had a lot of great old bows there on his table. We gave him a lot of information that he didn't know about his bows; how to date them, where they came from and many other things. He was a great guy to talk to and had modest prices on his bows. I was glad I didn't have a wallet full of cash or I would have left there with half a dozen bows.

Scott, it's looking good on the mountain above M.C. We will need to spend some time there in October.

George, have you ever had a wallet full of cash? LOL!!!

No. But my wife would give me some now and then if I was a good boy. I've had some close calls though. 8^)

Scott, looks like you found another Gem out there. You seem to have that knack!! Good shooting to you and your Necedah. And since George will probably ask to shoot it, yes, go ahead....!!!!

I had that bow in my hands a couple times Scott. Great deal!

Hey Harry Carry, I was there in advisory capacity when he bought it 8^))). That fellow from Pittsburgh had a nice stash of bows and all were in really good condition. He told Scott he gets most from estate sales out in that area. He even had a few lefties...just in case you were wondering, and sold a lefty Browning Nomad to another guy while we were there. He had a pristine 59/60 Shakespeare RH-200 that I somehow resisted....it was less than a hundred bucks.

I have a Super Necedah, love the looks and what a shooter. Check out this link, it was given to me when I first got the bow, good info.

Larry V used to post here often, and he is the one that created the above blog. He really got into it and even found Ernie Root's son, Larry, now a retired judge. Lots of great information over there and good photos as well from many contributors. If you need to know anything about Root and Shakespeare bows, that is the place to go first.

Here is Bob's table of tantalizing tidbits.

Scott we talked about this.

You used to be called "The Longbow Guy" back in '86 at the indoor range. You gotta resist all those curves and start buying longbows! There's not one straight end bow on your wall.

Nice bow nonetheless. :)
