Just wondering if Bear still makes (or one can custom order) the Super Kodiak with bubinga riser and green limbs?

Thanks for your replies.

I'll bet Bear can tell if you call them.

If it isn't offered on their website, then likely not.

Black phenolic or hardrock maple are your current choices.

Honestly I think I prefer the 67-69 black phenolic remake they are doing now than the Grayling green. The grayling green looks like a 64 or 65 Kodiak but the Black Beauty hits the nail on the head for copying the early Super Kodiaks. Espically with that high gloss option.

But to each their own.

The Grayling Green was cheaper and I actually like it better. It was lighter in mass for hauling through the woods all day. Sometimes they show up on Ebay, but you also may want to put a "Wanted" in the classified.

I'm partial to the Bubinga and Grayling Green look too. Love my 1961 Kodiak!

The GGSK would have been awesome if finished in high gloss like the originals were.............Nimrod

Thanks guys, I will call Bear. Too bad they can't find their way to continuing a model like that after they bring it back out to the public.

Monte, they did the same back in the day...one model...one year.

Yes that's ship sailed. I bought one as a discontinued model. I think I bought it from Big Jim.
