Shape of feathers is strictly preference. I like modified low cut bananna myself.

bananna will be quicker to straighten out the arrow with more drag . know in hunting I prefer bananna because of close range i want what works best and aids in a stright shooting arrow. for fps In hunting distance I don't see it being a issue maybe 1-2fps. long yardage shooting yes small will be better less drag and more time to straighten arrow out in flight and will not slow down as quick. For sound well in target shooting who cares. and when hunting speed of sound is over 1100fps so the pray has done heard the bow being shot long before the arrow 180fps gets there so sound of feathers is not a issue. sound of bow and release and movement if you drop your arm to see the arrow will have more affect then a loud feather.

I notice drag with the Banana cut but at hunting ranges I prefer this shape. Just be cautious about how much helical you use. I had my Blitz cranked over to the max, arrows had a whistle to them going down range. Another advantage to a big fletching is if they get wet there is plenty of feather to keep arrow on target.

Very nice arrows. You do good work.

Do the low profile banana fletch have less drag then the high profile. Would the banana low profile shoot the same as the shield or parabolic. Thank you.

Thank you, my hunting arrows. I spliced a bunch of feathers when I was recovering from a hip replacement. Finally getting around to using them.

Parabolic are quieter than shield cut. Tested by standing inside a brick structure and listened to various arrows go by. Would it affect hunting? I wouldn't think so.
