So I traded for this satori. I really like the way it shoots. I would like some advice on using the AAE cavaleir rest that I got with it. Will it help with accuracy and arrow flight? If so any tips on setting it up? Or should I stick with the shelf? I tried a cavaleir rest once before on a compound but tor my feathers up bad and had trouble keeping the arrow on the wire. I like the idea of using one as most good $hooters I see have them on their bows. I shoot 3 under and just started using the fixed crawl. Thanks for any help.

Flipper II is plenty good in my experience.

Raised rests in my experience are way easier to tune the bow and arrow with. Never really had feathers wear using one either. My wife uses the same rest on her recurve, has for years, she has no issues keeping the arrow on the rest. A raised rest will help if your toque the string which can cause a bunch of issues including the ones you mentioned above. It should not interfere with your stringwalking either.

I really like my springy rest never wears out

Thanks. I have thought about a springy also.

Dont know about fixed crawl. But i shoot 3under with a flipper 2 rest or nap center rest. Both have the spring arms. Really depends how much adjustment from the riser i need to tune.

What rest is it? Post a pick...lots of variations

FreeFlyte are used by lots of Barebow shooters. You can use the inner blade instead of a plunger for simplicity/less parts.

The Hunter Rest style wire is easy to keep your arrow on http://www.3riversarchery.com/super-t-300-hunter-elevated-arrow-rest.html

These are nice. But on my hunting bow, I prefer NOT to have plunger/rest sticking out the right side of my bow. Gets in the way laying it down or hanging in a tree.

Justsomedude ,here it is. Im thinking of taking the flat bar off and adding a plunger

Plunger is nice for long shooting. I've been shooting an off the shelf bow the last week...I have a habit of checking that my plunger hasn't come loose...I keep reaching up to check it and it isn't there :)

That setup with the bar is pretty nice. Better than a stick on or an NAP Centerest. But yes, plunger is an advantage

you going to hunt with this bow ? the rest you are showing was on my buddy's recurve it shot good. but he sure bent up the wire arm a few times in the brush.

If i use it to hunt it will be off the shelf. It shoots so good Im not sure I should even try the rest.
