Just browsed thru lancaster archery at ilf bows and the hyt grand prix epick 23 caught my eye. Any opinions on this riser? It does take ilf limbs.

It's their replacement for the GMX. Should be a good one. I like the design of it better than the GMX.

The Grand Prix Epik is ILF (HDS). It has something squirrely going on with the side plate and I'm not exactly sure how it works, but you "may have to grind off the clicker plate to shoot it bare bow.
I haven't checked the prices, but it probably sells for $600. to $700. To my notion a used GMX, Nexus or Matrix would serve the purpose just as well.

Jim, that adjustable clicker/arrow rest plate should be barebow legal, at least for WA/USArchery rules.

Can you explain just how that works? I've watched Lancaster's video and I still can't figure it out. Martin Archery had something similar several years back on some of their compound devices.

There are multiple plates that allow some adjustment in the vertical axis. They call it "vertitune" I think.
Earl had a better design on his original GM (TD-4) but this is better than no adjustment at all, I suppose.

I looked at the hoy grand prix epic on alternative sports. They had a better picture and specs. That riser sure looks nice. I know nothibg aboutbthose. Ilf bows but from what i see it beats the satori a bunch. Could a person build up a shelf rest if they didnt want to use a plubger hole mounted type? I would probably like the plunger and witre arm type but just wanted to know incase.

That's what I was getting at, Crow. That block that the clicker plate is attached to, would have to be mounted to the riser for it to accept a side plate of some sort.
Maybe you could go to Lancaster's website and watch their video about the Epik. Maybe you can figure out how to use it that way. At least you'll know what I'm talking about.
Man... I'd like to see one of those up close and personal. It's a fine looking riser for sure.

Thanks for the link. Couple thing of note:
The fact that they include a 23" riser in this model.
The Studs that allow the tip adjustment along with the limb alignment system. Don't remember seeing this anywhere before.
I look forward to perhaps picking one of these up in about 10 years at a lower price.
Looks like Hoyt did it again.
