Putting turkey feathers on my first home arrow project. Killed the turkeys over past few years and I've made some mistakes during this process but I'm learning.

Have to admit I've been hunting with carbons .when I shoot these it feels like shooting logs but I'm gonna hopefully take a buck or turkey this year with on of my cedars.

I've been cutting and grinding turkey and goose feathers. It's more work than buying them but you get more satisfaction shooting something that you make instead of buying it. Gotta ask, Do you have a thing for hatchets and hammers?

Some were my grandfathers some my dads and I've always enjoyed using them and remembering times spent . Just wish I were as good with wood as they both were

Looking good!

So I'm thinking it's an optical allusion, but the shaft in the fletcher in the first pic appears to have the feather on backwards.

Clydebow, Looks like he burns them to me.

Yeah, there's a Young Feather Burner sitting on the bench.

Yes I'm burning them and clydebow the picture is deceiving but it's the way the full feather curled against the jig. You did make me go look though . I'm getting old and not beyond errors .thx guys enjoy your comments and support

Looks great. Definitely some self satisfaction in making your own. Know if I can just make my own shafts :-) Keep up the great work. JF
