I just read a post about the Uriah Car Go Cart which reminded me of a gadget I have seen pictures of in the past. I hunt by myself quite a bit and get around on a UTV. Some of the deer and hogs get pretty heavy and I have a heck of a time getting the animal into the back of my Mule. Seems I once saw a gadget that you could plug into a receiver hitch that had a winch on it. You could winch the deer up off the ground and spin the vertical bar around and easily drop the deer into the bed of the UTV. I would think you could also use one to crank up a deer into the bed of a pickup. Does anyone know what these are called, who makes them, where to get them or have any pictures of these devices? I would appreciate any information any of you folks have. Thanks.

What you are looking for is called the L-E Vator from Viking Solutions. Their web site is www.vikingsl.com. They make three different models depending on how you want to use them. I have been ;looking at them myself.

The one you mentioned is called the Rack Jack.

That last one shows the deer on a small rack that cranks up to truck bed level.

Thanks a million David. I figured someone here would know about this thing. You are right in the one I had seen was similar to the Rack Jack but I do not remember it being that big or tall. I went to the Viking website as you suggested. I'd never seen anything like the L-E-Vater. That unit appears to be more compact, lighter and less expensive than the other units. That may be just the ticket for what I want. Thanks again.

Thanks for the info. That L E Vator is exactly what I was looking for. Last few years have been tough loading a deer in the truck solo. Price seems resonable too.
