Nothing beats the looks of an arrow in flight! Today's shot will be the Long Bomb. Takes the longest, SAFEST shot your range set up will allow. Everyone have a safe and blessed day.

Big John

I'm in. Huntworthy Productions, (James Parker) "Outlaw". 51# @ 28", laminated reflex deflex, with bamboo back and belly.

Shot at 40 yards... With the sun in my eyes, my girlfriend yelling at me and I'd just stepped on a yellow jacket nest. Not bad, considering, lol.

Good shooting so far. Frank, my arrow would be sticking in the framework over the porch roof!

Lance.

Thanks Lance. I was happy with them shots since 99.9% of the time I don't shoot past 30 yards.

Fantastic Shooting, Kodiaktd, I notice you are spot with most every shot you post here. Amazing to see the results of that sort of shooting with a trad bow! Take care and God bless!

I hope you don't mind me posting this here. I have a buddy with me today that wanted a picture of his shot along with grandpa's. My youngest grandson, 5, with an old fiberglass bow, at about 5 yards. It doesn't have enough oomph to stick in my bag target, so I have to get creative to keep him interested.

You never have to worry about posting pics of the kids and grandkids here. Great pic and keep him shootin.

throwback, Great picture.

Thanks grizz. It was funny. When I told him he had to shoot at 40 yards, he said ok, what's 40 yards? We walked back to 40 and he looked up at me and said "really grandpa"? I told him I was just kidding, walk up and shoot where you want to. He walked to around 30 took a look, up to closer to 20 for another look and we ended up at just about 5-6 yards.

Thanks kodiak, 9/10!

Great pic throwback. He drilled it. I'm looking forward to that with my grandson. He's two now. Jim

Thanks Jim. My other grandson is a few years older and he's into it too, but not like the little guy. He lives to shoot bows and all he talks about is going hunting with me. We've had a few "hunts" together, but so far he hasn't connected with any of the red squirrels or starlings he's shot at, lol. He can't get enough of anything to do with the sport. He's passed out on the couch right now, but when it cools off later, he wants to go freshen up a brush blind with me.

Thanks again, Jim and I wish you many years of the same with your grandson.

And the result. Emptied the quiver and no hits, but I had it worried! Thanks for the call today. It's fun to watch them fly. Bear T/D, 50# and 2016 Bear camo's. I hope that you all have a nice day. Great photo, Throwback. Lance.

Lance...how do you protect the inside of your garage? I'm looking to do that for 30yds.

I'd do 40 yds but 30 yds hides me from traffic going one of the directions. Thinking to reduce my neighborhood profile.

From: Knifeguy
Date: 21-Jul-17

Jk, good point but that's not my garage although I could see how you'd mistake it for one. That's a stack of rubber barn mats behind my bales. The garage is off to the left, not visible in the photo.

I wait until there's no traffic coming from either direction and I can see 1/2 mile each way.

Lance.

Good shooting everyone!! 35 yards with a virgin arrow hot off the jig. Thought Id take a chance and see how it would fly at 35 for its maiden voyage through the air. I figure the stars must have aligned last night cause the danged arrow hit just inches from where I was looking. Shooting the 50's Bear Polar recurve.

Also let one fly from 100 yards and fell a few feet short. I love watching the flight.Had to hold pretty high to get that distance.
