Shot 30 3D targets this AM with son. He cbow, me, stick. Son shoots like 271 with his cbow at 30-80 yards. He had an eleven in there. The guy can shoot. Just for kicks he shoots at elk facing us 105 yards cross field the target broadside is at 80 at the actual station. We didn't shoot it at 80 or he would have shot a 281.

Miss just left. I didn't shoot I have to walk up to 10-15 yards to get 10s. heh heh I walk up closer than the 'cub' markers. lol Yeah I'm not a good shot. On the way out he tries 105 again. Miss just right. Ok what the hell I'll shoot one. I miss well right and fifteen yards in front. Second shot, hit the elk in the antlers and the arrow bounces off. lol "Best shot of the day!" says he. Well lemme tell yuh I could stand there and launch a thousand arrows at that target again and not hit it. Longest hit of my life, and son witnessed it. What a crack up.

BTW one target was down, so 29 targets total not 30. Most are 40-60. This is no 20-35 yard stickbow 3d range.

But it felt good when you hit those antlers didn't it? Wednesday I hit the "challenge " shot, 103 yards. Felt good to me. Been awhile since I hit it with first arrow. "You see that cactus about half way up the mountain?".

Shot at the range yesterday, young cousin was playing with his sights. While waiting and coaching and just clowning around I grouped a few at 20 and 30. Not bad. Sent one to the 90 yard target, foot low. Later sent a flu-flu to the 70 yard target, 6 inches low and great vertical line. The young cousins liked that one. Last shot on the 3D walkabout range is a buffalo. In the vitals at 90. Was shooting an old Martin recurve, 50@28". I say keep shooting those long shots! They are fun and you will surprise yourself. Yeah, sometimes you spend awhile looking for arrows, but so what? Beats sittin in front of the tv (or this IPAD!) Best to all and enjoy your shooting!, Matthew
