Picked up this little jewel today for sale local. Straight limbs and glass is in great shape...got a couple gouges in the riser wood but no biggie. Appears to have the original feather rest, strike plate and endless loop string (in bad condition so I didn't attempt to shoot with it). Awesome shooter and whisper quiet.
Judging by the info I gathered it's a 1961 model being as it has green and white glass. The riser wood is lighter colored than reference pictures though.
This is my second Shakespeare. Both are fine bows! I'd put them up against any of my vintage Bears...except for my take down lol.

I nearly pulled the trigger on that one. It had a very nice buy it now price on epay. I called my buddy and told him to buy it. He signed in to the auction site and it was gone. Congrats. I really like those early Root/Shakespeares
